Organizational Members

<ul><li>Develop indicators and measures to monitor the digitalization process and its implications for different groups in society, with a special focus on vulnerable populations such as local communities and indigenous peoples, youth, elderly, children, women, and the LGBT community.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct research projects and knowledge production on digital development issues and their implications.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct outreach events and capacity-building activities to improve the digital skills of Forum members as well as third parties.&nbsp;</li><li>Produce engaging Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material to raise awareness about digital issues and best practices (digital privacy, security, and digital rights).</li></ul>

Knowledge

<ul><li>Participation in high-level policy dialogues concerning ICT development, digital economy, digital citizens, and digital business.&nbsp;</li><li>Issue-identification: Identify gaps and limitations in the current legislation.</li><li>Demand improved regulations of digital issues from the government.&nbsp;</li><li>Start policy debates and raise issues in the public and government spheres.&nbsp;</li><li>Promote improved data governance and engage in developing the Open Data Policy (data-sharing, data ownership, data privacy and security, data and digital rights).</li></ul>

Participation in dialogues concerning ICT development and Digital Economy and Social Policy.

Policy

<ul><li>Host quarterly Forum meetings to discuss issues based on the work plan. Meetings can be both in-person or online.</li><li>To identify strategic approaches for sector-wide development.</li><li>Identify opportunities for collaboration in the implementation of ICT-based projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Build relationships with regional stakeholders.</li><li>Produce and send a periodic online newsletter containing recent activities of the Forum and relevant information and news on digital issues.</li></ul>

Engage with the members through various in-person or online meetings and capacity-building activities.

Member Benefits

Organizational membership<ul><li>CSOs, development partners, grassroots organizations and media outlets.</li><li>Each organization must assign a representative to be the contact person.</li></ul>Individual membership<ul><li>Anyone interested in the mission of the Forum can become a member at the individual level.</li></ul>

2. Complete an online application form

3. Wait for review/approval from Advisory Committee (5 working days)

4. Become an official member

Receive periodic information via an online newsletter and actively share information about the Forum amongst ministries, donors, civil society, and development partners.

Stay up to date on Digital and ICT-related topics

Be invited to attend quarterly meetings and to undertake and participate in the Forum’s activities and meetings, including capacity-building opportunities.

Build a space for learning and participating

<ul><li>Be consulted on specific issues of their respective expertise.</li><li>Be asked about the actions that the Forum should prioritize.</li><li>Be asked to provide recommendations and update relevant information on their work.</li></ul>
